Tyron Woodley Defending Welterweight Title This July
UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley is coming off of a successful title defense against Stephen Thompson at UFC 209.
Although the champion is currently filming “Escape Plan 2” alongside Sylvester Stallone, the champion is preparing to defend the gold again against a yet to be named opponent this July.
The champion made the announcement of the Fox Sports Pro Cast, via Twitter:

There are five UFC events scheduled for July, they at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale (7/7), UFC 213 (7/8), UFC Fight Night 113 (7/16), UFC On Fox 25 (7/22) and UFC 214 (7/29). No main events have been announced for any of those events at this moment, although a bantamweight title fight between Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw is set as the co-main event of UFC 213.
An opponent for Woodley, as well as which event the fight will be happening at should be announced shortly.
