Shawn Michaels Offers Hank Walker An NXT Contract

Hank Walker is now an official member of the WWE NXT 2.0 roster.

Hank Walker is now an official member of the WWE NXT 2.0 roster.

On the September 13 episode of the show, Walker, who had been a security guard, faced Javier Bernal in a singles match. The two men have been feuding in recent weeks, and they met in the ring on Tuesday. Walker didn’t get any entrance music, and he wasn’t wearing ring gear. Still, he defeated Bernal to win his NXT 2.0 in-ring debut.

In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Shawn Michaels, WWE’s Vice President of Talent Development, offered Walker a contract while he was celebrating with his fellow guards. Bernal crashed the joyful moment and called Walker’s victory a fluke. But Michaels and Walker laughed it off, and the newcomer signed the contract, so he has officially joined the brand.

Walker, a former college football player with NC State, signed with WWE in March. He debuted at a live event in June and first wrestled on WWE TV om the June 28 taping of NXT Level Up. In recent weeks, he has been appearing on NXT 2.0 as a security guard.
