Jim Ross Discusses Bray Wyatt Potentially Replacing The Undertaker
Jim Ross says he is intrigued by Bray Wyatt's development.
On Monday, Wyatt showed up on Raw and attacked Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, and The Miz. Ross blogged about the events of Raw and said he thought Wyatt should tweak his character and continue to exhibit more supernatural powers . At Wrestlemania 33, he used some spooky effects as an attempt to gain the upper hand on Randy Orton, who eventually beat Wyatt for the WWE World Championship. In the past, Ross has said Wyatt could be a fan favorite, and he said he saw more of that from Monday.
"Intrigued and interested by how WWE booked Bray Wyatt to close RAW Monday night. I'm a Bray fan and vividly recall the multiple conversations that I had with the late Dusty Rhodes about Blackjack Mulligan's grandson. I may be off target here but I can easily see Bray Wyatt being a viable, main event level fan favorite in time as fans seem to love to participate in his overall presentation, specifically his entrance. Is Bray Wyatt being subtlety portioned to replace the Undertaker as it relates to a fan favorite who espouses 'unique powers?' Those are big shoes to fill but if Wyatt can continue to advance his game and make the persona his own then there is a chance that it will be successful. I like this direction if that's what it turns out to be," wrote Ross.
Wyatt and Orton will meet again in a "House of Horrors match" at WWE Payback. In the rest of the blog, Ross talked about Neville's position in WWE's cruiserweight division, the dumpster match from Raw, and other positive things he saw from Monday's Raw..
He posts his blogs and podcast The Ross Report on JRsBarBQ.com.
