Bate Beats Wagner, Crews And Waller Trade Barbs, Fyre’s Flame Burns Bright | NXT Fight Size

Here is your post-NXT 2.0 fight size update for August 23.

Here is your post-NXT 2.0 fight size update for August 23.

– NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate and NXT Champion Bron Breakker agreed to face off in a championship unification match at NXT Worlds Collide. Bate proceeded to pick up a decisive win in his match against Von Wagner.

– Grayson Waller hosted the first edition of his talk show, “The Grayson Waller Effect.” He traded harsh words with his guest, Apollo Crews. Waller brought up Crews’ controversial accent, accused him of taking the spotlight from younger talent, and stated that he couldn’t cut it on the main roster. Crews fired back by calling Waller a low-budget Miz.

Alba Fyre cut a heated promo and made it clear that no one will extinguish her flame. She teased the WWE Universe of her plans for the future by saying, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”

InDex reunited at long last, and Dexter Lumis shared a heartfelt embrace with Indi Hartwell. The moment was fleeting, though, as Lumis gave her a letter, which said “Goodbye for now”, before he was arrested.

– Like Lumis, Santos Escobar was forced to leave NXT 2.0. But he showed up on Tuesday and told Legado Del Fantasma that he wasn’t leaving without them.

– Before they rode away with Escobar, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde came up short against The Dyad. In doing so, they frustrated Tony D’Angelo, who was seemingly willing to forgive them for their previous allegiance with Escobar.

– Bate and Breakker will unify the men’s titles, and the women’s champions will follow suit. NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura and Mandy Rose agreed to a championship unification match, and Blair Davenport inserted herself into the equation to make it a three-way.

Cameron Grimes defeated Javier Bernal and later watched from ringside as The Dyad defeated Legado Del Fantasma. Joe Gacy continued his efforts to recruit Grimes, and his feelings on the matter remain unclear.

Charlie Dempsey appeared on NXT 2.0 and taught some of his skills to Chase University. Bodhi Hayward took exception to the physical lesson, and Dempsey said Andre Chase’s class is too soft.

The NXT UK Tag Team Championship match broke down into chaos when Pretty Deadly attacked Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen. Diamond Mine snuck up and Gallus and brought the fight to them to score some revenge for the beatdown they suffered last week. Pretty Deadly later confronted Gallus, and both sets of former NXT UK Tag Team Champions made it clear that they want to win the gold.

– Later in the show, NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers agreed to face NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen once the latter duo takes care of business against Pretty Deadly next week.

– In a hard-fought main event, Wendy Choo defeated Tiffany Stratton in a Lights Out match.

Bernal continued to frustrate one of NXT 2.0’s security guards, who called him a “prick” for the second week in a row.

– Fresh off her win over Roxanne Perez at NXT Heatwave, Cora Jade stated that she’s simply better than her former friend.

– In the spirit of NXT Worlds Collide, NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter said that anyone who wants to face them can come and get it.

– After his loss to Bron Breakker last week, JD McDonagh made it clear that he’s not done with the NXT Champion. He said his pain tolerance increased due to their match, and he’s ready for more.

– Following his loss to Tyler Bate, Von Wagner stormed off. In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Robert Stone stated that Tyler Bate got lucky, so Wagner was mad. He noted that Wagner was uncontrollable, and it isn’t over between the powerhouse and Bate.

– In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Joe Gacy stated that The Dyad was trying to show Legado Del Fantasma the greatness they could achieve. The Schism made it clear that they saw Grimes watching them, and they invited Cameron Grimes to join his “family.”

– In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Wendy Choo discussed her victory over Stratton and said the win was for anyone who felt the need to hide their uniqueness. She said that Stratton got run over by the “Wendy Choo Choo Train.”

– At the end of the show, the men’s and women’s champions signed the contracts for their matches at NXT Worlds Collide.
