Vic Joseph Believes WWE Is Going Back To TV-14
Vic Joseph comments on WWE reportedly moving back to TV-14.
On July 14, Andrew Zarian of Mat Men podcast reported that WWE Raw would move to TV-14 beginning on July 18. It was later reported that there were mixed signals on the report as a memo from USA Network was sent out early and the date was not finalized.
Appearing on the Ken Carmen Show, NXT announcer Vic Joseph was asked if WWE would be moving back to TV 14.
“Yeah. NXT had TV-14 for a week or two a couple of months back. You’re seeing things get a little bit edgier. As far as me watching it, I think people have this misconception that we all know what’s going on, I haven’t been on the road. I live five miles from where I go to work in Orlando. I’m not on the road and not in those meetings anymore. From what I’ve seen, with the language and some of the things picking up. This past Monday was the first time I can recall seeing blood on someone’s face in the ring and they weren’t trying to clean it up. I would have to tip my towards, ‘Yeah, it’s coming back,'” he said.
WWE SummerSlam was briefly listed as TV-14 on Peacock, but switched back to TV PG.
WWE moved to a PG rating in July 2008. It is unknown if or when WWE programming will move to TV-14 full-time.
