Alexa Bliss: I’m In This Limbo, It’s Finding Where I Fit And What Character Is Needed

After being off television following WWE Extreme Rules 2021 and a loss to Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss returned with therapy vignettes ahead of WWE Eliminator Chamber.

Bliss returned in the Elimination Chamber match, but was off television again until after WrestleMania. Bliss switched up her character following her therapy sessions, becoming less magical, but still holding on to Lilly.

Speaking to Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Bliss discussed her current character in WWE.

“Now I’m in this limbo of, I don’t really know where I’m going with my character yet. I kind of evolved so many times in the last nine years – I feel like I’ve had more characters than any other woman on the roster,’ she smiled. So now, it’s finding where I fit, what character is needed for the show. Right now, I’m just me and I don’t like that for TV. I like me for me outside in life, but for TV – Lexi is not entertaining,” she said.

Alexa said she’s not entertaining because she likes to “sit on the couch and watch Netflix.”

She continued by saying, “I’m stuck trying to figure out what that is, especially after therapy, after taking away all the aspects of what the dark, evil Alexa was. But still having Lilly and being able to understand that Lilly is now an accessory, not as a focal point. It’s finding that creative process of trying to figure out what’s gonna be, one, fun for me, two, what’s gonna relate to an audience, and what’s gonna be easy for the writers to write for.”

Bliss explained on Monday’s Raw that she is looking to go after the WWE Raw Women’s Championship and also said that she acts independently of Lilly, who has her own income thanks to WWE Shop sales.

Bliss defeated Doudrop in singles competition on Monday. If you missed anything from WWE Raw, check out Fightful’s report on the show by clicking here.
