Alundra Blayze Takes Title Out Of Trash, D’Angelo Family Wins, Gacy Targets Grimes | NXT Fight Size

WWE NXT 2.0 was eventful this week. Alundra Blayze appeared, and the D’Angelo Family scored a big win.

Here is your post-NXT 2.0 fight size update for July 26.

– WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze fished Cora Jade’s NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship out of the trash on Tuesday night, many years after she once threw her WWF Women’s Title in the garbage on WCW Monday Nitro. Roxanne Perez commented on her partner’s decision to throw the title away and stated that the championship deserved more respect. She noted that she found someone who agrees, and Blayze appeared. She and Perez took the title out of the trash, and Blayze announced that new champions will be crowned next week. Later in the show, she told Toxic Attraction that if they want the gold, they’ll have to earn it.

– Blayze then commented on the fact that she appeared on both NXT 2.0 and NWA Powerrr on July 26. Referencing the way Rick Rude famously showed up on RAW, Nitro, and ECW TV, Blayze noted that a women can do a man’s job “twice as nice.”

– The D’Angelo Family cemented its place as NXT 2.0’s top stable on Tuesday night. Though the Diamond Mine’s feud with Tony D’Angelo’s faction seemingly brought the teammates together, a miscommunication cost Roderick Strong’s group the win in a match between the teams. In a Digital Exclusive after the match, D’Angelo claimed that his family is the greatest faction in NXT history.  Fresh off the win, D’Angelo stated that his stable deserves a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship.

– Joe Gacy has Cameron Grimes in his sights. He previously hinted at his interest in recruiting the former NXT North American Champion, and on Tuesday night, he explained that he understands why Grimes is in pain. Gacy stated that Grimes has been missing his dad since he passed away, and he can be the father figure the former champion needs.

– Zoey Stark is back in a big way. One week after she earned a shot at NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, Stark discussed her road to recovery. She then challenged Rose to have the title match on Tuesday. Instead, Gigi Dolin faced her, and Stark picked up another win to gain more momentum before she challenges Rose at NXT Heatwave

– Grayson Waller kept rolling on Tuesday, but he had a little help. Trick Williams blindsided Wes Lee during the latter’s match with Waller, and Williams’ involvement led to the Australian star picking up the win.

– Apollo Crews’ mission to climb into the title picture has been sidetracked by Xyon Quinn, but the former WWE Intercontinental Champion scored a decisive victory over his rival when they faced off this week.

– Cora Jade set her sights on Zoey Stark by sharing her belief that the powerhouse stole her moment in the Battle Royal, much like Roxanne Perez ruined their reign as the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. She attacked Stark after her match with Dolin, but Perez made the save.

– Speaking of the Battle Royal, Sarray confronted Rose and pointed out that she was unable to compete in the match because she was overseas. She asked for an opportunity, and Rose eventually agreed to face her in a non-title bout next week.

– Elsewhere in the women’s division, Indi Hartwell showcased the value of experience. Arianna Grace is still new to NXT 2.0, and when she tried to cheat during her match with Hartwell, the referee caught her. This botched rule-bending cost her the match, as the former InDex star ultimately pinned her.

– Andre Chase might be the head of Chase U, but Giovanni Vinci took him to school on Tuesday. The stylish superstar defeated Chase in a singles match, but Nathan Frazer foiled his post-match attack on the scholarly star.

– JD McDonagh again demonstrated his knowledge of the human body on Tuesday. He told one fan that they could die by simply eating popcorn before he noted that he could easily break Vic Joseph’s collarbone with just a little pressure. He called out NXT Champion Bron Breakker, who came to the ring and wound up trading headbutts with his prospective challenger. Breakker’s blow busted McDonagh’s lip, so the feud reached a new high on Tuesday.

– Ahead of the title match next week, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter made it clear that they intend to win the gold. They were fired up by the way Jade disrespected the title, and the duo pointed out that, unlike the bond between Perez and Jade, theirs is a true friendship. Meanwhile, Sanga had a motivational message for Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz, who will compete for the vacant titles next week.

– Whereas Sanga built Feroz and Leon up, Kiana James tore Nikkita Lyons down. In a presentation, she examined what’s wrong with the women’s division and spotlighted Lyons. James criticized Lyons and the way she dresses.

– Wendy Choo woke up on the wrong side of the bed because Tiffany Stratton continues to haunt her dreams. After the “Buff Barbie Doll” eliminated Choo from the Battle Royal last week, Choo vowed that she’s not done with Stratton yet. She warned her foe that the next time they face off, it’ll be lights out.

– Tensions continue to rise between Von Wagner and Solo Sikoa. The two brawlers continue to fight wherever they can get their hands on each other. In a promo on Tuesday, Sikoa challenged Wagner to a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Wagner later accepted the challenge, noting that he’s the king of the streets now, so Sikoa can try to reclaim his throne next week.

– In a Digital Exclusive, Crews discussed his win over Quinn and stated that he knew what has going to happen when he stepped into the ring. He also gave Quinn credit for being a tough competitor, though he pointed out that toughness will only take you so far. Crews made it clear that he’s focused on winning each and every week.

– In another Digital Exclusive, Grayson Waller said the stars shinined bright on him on Tuesday.
