Rey Mysterio Celebrates Anniversary, Ziggler Targets Theory, Alexa Bliss Wants Gold | RAW Fight Size

This week on WWE Raw, Rey Mysterio celebrated his 20th anniversary, Roman Reigns appeared, and Alexa Bliss picked up more momentum.

Here is your post-Monday Night Raw fight size update for July 25.

– Rey Mysterio celebrated his 20th anniversary with the company by cutting an emotional promo about his journey up to this point. He then teamed up with his son Dominik to defeat the Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

– Dolph Ziggler has been targeting Theory in recent weeks. The veteran has cost Mr. Money in the Bank multiple matches, and after he was responsible for another loss on Monday, he explained his actions. He described how he wants to teach Theory a lesson, and he shared his belief that while the young star is talented, he needs to work for his opportunities.

– The RAW Women’s Championship scene has focused on Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Carmella in recent weeks, but a new contender hopes to enter the mix. Before her match on Monday, Alexa Bliss vowed to regain her place atop the division, and she stated that, after WWE SummerSlam, the champion should watch out for her. Bliss then defeated Doudrop despite Nikki A.S.H.’s attempted interference.

– Speaking of the champion, Bianca Belair came to the ring on Monday. But before she could say anything, Becky Lynch interrupted her. Lynch took a shot at the champion, and the two women brawled around ringside until officials eventually separated them. Clearly, the bad blood is at an all-time high ahead of their match at SummerSlam.

– Despite their in-ring defeat, The Judgment Day quickly ruined Rey Mysterio’s celebratory night; Rhea Ripley returned, and the trio attacked Rey and Dominik backstage. They punctuated the assault by slamming Rey through a table.

– This week’s episode of Raw featured another mysterious vignette that seemingly hinted at Edge’s return, as several Easter eggs suggested his looming arrival. Once again, the clip showed clues that pointed to Edge’s past rivals, including a picture of Seth Rollins. The individual in the video wrote, “I am coming”, but it’s still unclear when fans can expect to see him show up.

– Raw kicked off in a chaotic way. As soon as the show began, Logan Paul and The Miz were brawling in the ring. Officials struggled to restrain the two foes and restore order.

– This fight wasn’t the last fans saw of Paul. After AJ Styles encouraged him to shut The Miz up when they face off at SummerSlam, he hosted the first edition of IMPAULSIVE TV on Raw, where he called out “The A-Lister.” Instead, Maryse came to the ring, determined to defend her husband and his manhood. She informed Paul that her husband’s genitalia was average, and when Paul questioned her, The Miz came to the ring. He came to blows with Paul again, and this time, Ciampa helped him leave the social media star lying.

– Logan Paul wasn’t the only star who was featured on Monday. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns kicked off the show and told the Madison Square Garden crowd to acknowledge him. Paul Heyman then previewed Reigns’ match with Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam, and he declared that the champion would defeat his bitter foe one last time on Saturday. Theory interrupted and teased that he would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, but Reigns reminded the young star that his “daddy” was gone. When Theory tried to attack Jey Uso, Reigns backed down and prevented the Usos from retaliating.

– Theory wound up facing Drew McIntyre in a singles match, and the interference of Sheamus led to a tag team bout when Bobby Lashley came out to even the odds. Thanks to a distraction from Dolph Ziggler, Lashley made Theory tap out ahead of their clash at WWE SummerSlam. To punctuate Mr. Money in the Bank’s rough night, the Usos blasted him with superkicks, and Reigns stood over him.

– Ziggler has had his sights set on Theory, but two new faces got his attention on Monday when Alpha Academy confronted Ziggler and AJ Styles backstage. Chad Gable accused the duo of being jealous of him and Otis, leading to a match between the two teams. In the end, Ziggler scored the win to gain more momentum.

– One of WWE’s top stars didn’t appear on the broadcast, but she showed up at Madison Square Garden nonetheless. During a commercial break, Ronda Rousey came to the ring and trapped Doudrop in an ankle lock.

– Jeff Jarrett is taking his officiating duties seriously. The WWE Hall of Famer made sure that a backstage showdown between The Usos and The Street Profits didn’t get out of hand on Monday night. The two teams will collide in a title match at SummerSlam, and Jarrett will be the special guest referee.

– In a star-studded main event, Roman Reigns and The Usos faced Riddle and The Street Profits. In a hard-fought contest, Reigns scored the win by pinning Riddle with a Spear.

– After the bout, Seth Rollins came to the ring and kicked Riddle while he was down. He left his SummerSlam opponent lying with a brutal Stomp to conclude the show.

– On WWE Raw Talk, The Judgment Day celebrated both Finn Balor’s birthday and Rhea Ripley’s return. The group vowed that, at SummerSlam, The Mysterios will fall.

– Elsewhere on Raw Talk, WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley discussed his victory over Theory, saying that while he thinks the latter has a lot of potential, he needs to be put in his place.
