Spoiler: World Championship Match Set For IMPACT Emergence 2022

The IMPACT World Championship match is set for IMPACT Emergence.

The IMPACT World Championship will be on the line at Emergence.

On July 15, IMPACT Wrestling held the first day of its ‘Derby City Rumble’ TV tapings from Louisville, Kentucky. During the event, Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin, his partner in the Motor City Machine Guns, to earn the right to challenge Josh Alexander for the gold on August 12. The match between Shelley and Sabin will air on the July 21 episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

According to the fans in attendance, Shelley made Sabin tap out to the Border City Stretch to win the bout. Violent By Design attacked the duo after the match, but KUSHIDA debuted and made the save.

Alexander won the title by defeating Moose at IMPACT Rebellion in April. He successfully defended the title against Eric Young at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. Alexander also retained the championship when Joe Doering challenged him for it at Against All Odds. In non-title action, he teamed up with Sabin and Shelley to defeat Violent By Design on the latest episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

Fightful will update fans when the matches are officially announced on television or by the company.

Fightful provides live coverage of IMPACT Wrestling every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET followed by a post-show podcast on our YouTube channel.
