The Rock Turns Down Hosting 2022 Emmy Awards
The Rock says no to the Emmy Awards.
The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) told Entertainment Tonight that he had to pass on the offer to host the 2022 Emmy Awards due to a scheduling conflict.
“It was just schedule. I was really, truly honored when they came to me and asked, but it was just a scheduling thing. That’s all. That’s really what it comes down to,” he said.
The Rock’s new film “DC League of Super-Pets” is set to hit theaters on July 29.
The Rock is also set to star in the upcoming “Black Adam” film, which will be released on October 21.
When it comes to wrestling, it is unknown when The Rock will return to WWE TV or the ring. Rock, Roman Reigns, and Paul Heyman have publicly talked about the possibility of Rock and Reigns clashing at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, but no match has been made official.
The 2022 Emmy Awards are scheduled for September 12.
