Live Coverage

– There was a video recap of the 7/7/2022 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, highlighting Eric Young making his return and Violent By Design challenging IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion, Josh Alexander, and Motor City Machine Guns to a match. Deaner and Joe Doering were backstage waiting for Eric Young to make his entrance, saying his absence may be a test for them.

– Tom Hannifan & Matt Rehwoldt welcomed the audience to the broadcast before quickly transitioning to the opening match. 

Josh Alexander & Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner & Joe Doering).

Eric Young made his way to the ring with an altered version of an Iron Man mask. Deaner and Alexander began the match locking up, with Alexander doing a single-hand back drop on Deaner followed by a wrist-lock. Shelley hit Deaner with short-hand chops and an elbow breaker. Sabin hit an ax handle on Deaner’s elbow. Sabin and Alexander targeted Deaner’s elbow before Alexander hit multiple chops on Deaner. Alexander got Deaner in an Ankle Lock, but Doering pulled Deaner out of the ring to break the hold. Young hit a cheap shot on Alexander, allowing Deaner to punch Alexander. Doering hit a body slam/elbow drop on Alexander for a near fall. Deaner hit a low-dropkick on Alexander’s bum, with Alexander’s neck being folded in the turnbuckle. Young and Deaner hit a double boot kick on Alexander for a near fall.  Doering got Alexander in a modified arm-lock on Alexander before tagging in Deaner, who kicked Alexander with a kick followed by a suplex for a near fall. Doering tagged back in and kicked Alexander’s abdomen before hitting another elbow drop on Alexander. Doering got Alexander in a bear claw neck-lock before hitting a headbutt on Alexander. Alexander hit multiple forearm strikes, but Doering hit Alexander with a running cross-body on Alexander. Sabin tagged in and hit a drop-kick on Deaner, a low dropkick on Young, short-hand punches on Deaener before Shelley hit a horizontal splash on Deaner. Shelley hit a cutter on Young before he and Sabin hit a Dropkick/flat liner combination for a near fall. Sabin and Deaner hit double cross bodies on Each other. Young and Alexander tagged in and stared each other down before they hit double-lariats on each other. They exchanged punches before Alexander hit a back-body drop on Young, followed by a running elbow and a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. Alexander got Young in an ankle lock, but Young kicked Alexander into the corner. Young hit an inverted bulldog on Shelley for a near fall. Deaner tagged in, but was caught with the Last Chancery dropkick by Motor City Machine Guns. Alexander hit a lariat on Doering, sending him out of the ring before Sabin hit a cannonball on Doering. While Alexander neutralized Young with an Ankle Lock, Shelley got Deaner in the Border City Stretch for the submission win. Sabin and Alexander confronted each other after the match, teasing a possible title match for the future.

– There was a video package promoting the return of Killer Kelly to IMPACT Wrestling, with her saying that she was ready and that it would be fun.

Steve Maclin vs. James Storm.

Maclin and Storm locked up before Maclin walked back. Maclin hit an elbow strike on Storm’s back before hitting with a chop. Maclin hit a knee-strike on Storm’s abdomen before pushing Storm’s head. Storm laid punches on Maclin before hitting Maclin with an arm drag. Storm hit a lariat on Maclin and tried to hit a Super kick, but Maclin rolled out of the ring to stop Storm’s momentum. Back in the ring, Storm hit two punches and an open palm slap on Maclin but Maclin launched Storm onto the top rope before stomping down Storm before the commercial break. Back from the break, Maclin hit a back breaker and a knee drop on Storm’s back. Storm hit two punches before Maclin hit Storm with an STO for a near fall. Maclin hit a running knee-drop on Storm before slamming Storm’s head into three turnbuckles, but Storm shook the third slam off. Storm hit two punches, a forearm strike, an atomic drop, a right-hand punch, an enziguri kick, and a running neck breaker on Maclin for a near fall. Storm placed Maclin in the top rope, but Maclin evaded the move and hit Maclin with an upside down spear on Storm in the corner for a near fall. Storm kicked Maclin in the midsection and tried to hit the Eye of The Storm, but Maclin reversed it with a guillotine choke, but Storm slammed Maclin into the corner. Storm placed Maclin on the top rope and hit a super-frankensteiner on Maclin before hitting a top-rope elbow drop on Maclin for a near fall. Storm hit Maclin with a Code Breaker and set up for a Superkick but Maclin evaded. Maclin slammed Storm’s head into an exposed turnbuckle before hitting a Double Underhook DDT on Storm for the pinfall win. 

Winner: Steve Maclin.

– After the match, lights cut off and went back on to reveal Sami Callihan in the ring to confront Steve Maclin but Maclin was seen on the ramp in anticipation of Callihan’s arrival. 

– There was a video recap highlighting Team Hogan vs. Team Flair from Lethal Lockdown 2010 in anticipation of Ric Flair’s Last match on 7/31/2022.

– Backstage, Chris Sabin campaigned himself to Scott D’Amore to become the #1 Contender for the IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship. D’Amore revealed that Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin would be to determine the #1 Contender for the World Title on Derby City Rumble.

Chelsea Green vs. Mickie James.

James and Green began the match by exchanging kisses. James got Green in a Thesz Press before the two exchanged strikes in the mat and in the ring corner. Green hit a facebuster before they continued to exchange punches across the mat. Green tossed James out of the ring. Outside the ring, James hit a slap on Green before slamming her into the ring post. James hit a seated senton on Green outside the ring. Back in the ring, Green tossed James off the top rope and hit a low-shotgun dropkick on James for a near fall. Green got James in a Camel Clutch before going for a ripcord lariat, but James reversed in with a forearm strike. James hit Green with rope-assisted Tijeras and a low-mule kick for a near fall. James slammed Green in the middle turnbuckle, but Green slammed James to the mat before laying in punches on James. Green hit a wrist-lock lariat on James for a near fall. Green hit two knee strikes on James’ back and elbow strikes on James’ neck before getting her with a back-stretch, but James reversed it with an arm drag. James hit a spinning kick before Green got James with a pump kick for a near fall. Green kicked James’ head into the bottom turnbuckle before shouting at James to get the hell out of Green’s ring, but James hit two kicks on Green, sending her to the ramp. The two brawled on the ramp before Green slapped James in the head and tossed her back in the ring. James got Green in a neck breaker. James slapped Green before both exchanged forearm strikes. James hit two lariats, a running elbow strike, a facebuster, and a top-rope seated senton on Green for a near fall. James hit a Spinning Heel Kick on Green for a near fall. Green kicked James in the injured knee before hitting a curb stomp for two near falls, with one of them due to Green grabbing James from the skirt. James got Green in an O’Connor Roll for a near fall. Green hit an Enziguri Kick on Green, but James responded with a superkick. Green rolled over James to catch her in a rope-assisted roll up for the pinfall win.

Winner: Chelsea Green.

– Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary prepared for their field trip to the Undead Realm to rescue Havok, with Taya coming in late due to not finding the. right outfit. Inside Undead Realm, Rosemary told her to not follow the light when looking for Havok. Despite Rosemary’s advice, Taya walked straight into the light and got stuck in another dimension. Luckily, she found a pink-haired Havok in this dimension. Rosemary got into the light and reunited with Havok, revealing that it was actually Jessica. 

– There was a recap showing Bhupinder Gujjar defeating Johnny Swinger form the 7/14/2022 edition of BTI. 

– Bhupinder Gujjar confronted IMPACT Digital Media Champion Brian Myers to challenge him to a match, but Myers told him to challenge him whenever he gets Verified on Twitter.

Tenille Dashwood (w/ Gisele Shaw & Madison Rayne) vs. Masha Slamovich.

 The match began with audible ‘Masha is gonna kill you” chants from the crowd before Slamovich hit Dashwood with a spinning backfist. Masha pulled Tenille into the apron, but Dashwood hit a back elbow. Masha hit Dashwood with a Dragon Screw before hitting a Helluva kick and the Snow Plow for the effective destruction via a pinfall win.

Winner: Masha Slamovich.

– There was a video recap showing Deaner and Joe Doering attacking Alan Angels and X-Division Champion Mike Bailey from the 7/7/2022 edition of IMPACT Wrestling. After that, Gia Miller interviewed Bailey, with Bailey saying that if Deaner wanted to fight him all he had to do was ask, challenging Deaner to a match for the 7/21/2022 edition of IMPACT Wrestling. 

– Gia Miller interviewed Mickie James, with James saying “You’re only as good as your last match” before walking out of the building.

– Before the main event match, Heath hit Vincent with the Wake-Up Call on the ramp before running to the crowd stands. 

Bullet Club (Ace Austin, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson & Chris Bey) vs. Honor No More (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Kenny King & Eddie Edwards) (w/ PCO, Vincent & Maria Kanellis).

The match began with Bey and Edwards starting the match before Edwards hit him with a shoulder tackle. Bey hit Edwards with an arm drag before getting him in a sunset bomb for a near fall, but Edwards hit a headbutt on Bey. King tagged in, but Bey hit a super kick on King’s abdomen before tagging in Ace Austin. Asutin and Bey hit an Irish Whip on King into the ring corner, which Austin followed up with an enziguri kick off Bey’s back. Bey hit a running uppercut on King off Austin’s back. Austin tripped King before Bey hit a double stomp on King for a near fall. King hit a kick on Austin before tagging in Taven. Taven had Austin in a wrist lock, but Austin reversed it with a forearm strike and a drop kick. Taven hit a knee strike on Austin’s  abdomen. Taven hit a dropkick on Bennett accidentally before Bullet Club clotheslined every member of Honor No More out of the ring before the commercial break. Karl Anderson tagged in and hit Taven with an Irish Whip into the corner. Gallows and Anderson hit a double shoulder tackle on Taven. Gallows hit a series of punches on Taven in the ring corner before hitting him with a lariat. Bey hit a bulldog on Taven off Gallows for a near fall. Bey leg sweeped Taven’s leg before kicking him in the head for a near fall. Bey punched King and Edwards and hit a midrope dropkick on Bennett. King and Edwards hit Bey with an assisted Enziguri Kick before Taven took advantage and hit a spring-rope Russian leg sweep on Bey for a near fall. King hit a series of punches on Bey before going for a sunset flip, but Bey evaded and went for a stomp, which King reversed it with a single-leg crab. Edwards broke the hold by tagging in, getting Bey in a side headlock. Edwards hit an atomic drop followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Bennett stomped Bey before hitting him with a flurry of strikes and a short-hand lariat for a near fall. Bennett and Taven hit a Death Valley Driver/ Running Knee on Bey for a near fall. King hit a body slam and a spring rope leg drop on Bey for a near fall. Bey hit a chin breaker on Edwards before hitting an inside-out dropkick on Edwards. Anderson tagged in, but Honor No More distracted the referee to stop the tag to stomp down Bey. After Bey hit the Tijeras on Edwards and a dropkick on Bennett before tagging in Anderson. Anderson hit two lariats on Taven and King before hitting a running senton, a chop, a uppercut, a big boot, and a middle rope neck breaker on Taven. Edwards hit an Enziguri kick on Anderson, gallows hit a super kick on Edwards, King hit a Leg Lariat on Anderson, Bey hit a superman forearm strike on King, Bennett hit a superkick on Bey. Austin hit a knee strike and a spinning heel kick on Bennett, Taven hit a spring rope enziguri on Austin, and Gallows ended the mad sequence with a big boot on Taven. Gallows and Anderson went for the Magic Killer on Taven, but Bennett distracted the referee, leading Maria to hit a low blow on Gallows. King hit a Blockbuster on Anderson. Bennett hit a forearm strike on Gallows, which Edwards took advantage hitting a running knee, and Taven put the exclamation point with a frog splash on Gallows for the pinfall win. Honor No More stood tall to end the broadcast. 

Winners: Honor No More (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Kenny King & Eddie Edwards) (w/ PCO, Vincent & Maria Kanellis).
