A new bout has been set for Death Before Dishonor.
As announced on today’s episode of AEW Control Center, Mercedes Martinez is officially set to defend the ROH Women’s World Championship against former partner Serena Deeb at the upcoming Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view. The match came about after Deeb turned on Martinez on the July 9 edition of AEW Rampage, which led to ‘The Professor’ standing over Martinez while holding the championship.
.@SerenaDeeb has her eyes fully locked in on that #ROH Women’s World Championship and is certainly not going to let champion @RealMMartinez break her focus on that goal. #AEWRampage is on @tntdrama right now! pic.twitter.com/BS3OSvo25M

Deeb and Martinez have had three singles matches over the course of their respective careers, with all three of those matches taking place in different promotions.
