Big E Provides An Update On His Recovery From Broken Neck
Big E has provided another update on his recovery.
On the March 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, Big E suffered a broken neck after landing awkwardly following a belly-to-belly suplex on the outside from Ridge Holland. As a result, Big E suffered a fracture to his C1 vertebrae and C6 vertebra. Surgery was not required in order to fix the fractures.
On July 4, Big E tweeted that his “C1 isn’t ossifying (forming bone) quite yet” and the current plan is to get more scans at the one-year mark. He said he feels tremendous and surgery is still off the table.
Update! My C1 isn’t ossifying (forming bone) quite yet. The current plan is to get more scans at the one year mark & see how it’s progressing. The great news is I feel tremendous & surgery is off the table.

Big E removed his neckbrace in a video posted to social media on June 13, throwing it in the trash.
It is unknown when Big E will return to television. Fightful continues to wish Big E all the best in his recovery.
