F1RST Wrestling Announces Event At Mall Of America

Wrestling will return to Mall of America. 

Arik Cannon announced that F1RST Wrestling will hold an event at Mall of America on September 10. The event will be called Saturday Night Nitro. 

Mall of America famously hosted the premiere episode of WCW Nitro on September 4, 1995.

The first WCW Nitro was headlined by Hulk Hogan taking on Big Bubba Rogers. Aside from being the debut episode of WCW Nitro, the show made headlines as Lex Luger made an appearance, officially jumping ship of WWE to WCW. Luger has wrestled at a WWE Live Event just the night before.

In September 2021, the official Mall of America twitter account said the mall would be willing to host an episode of AEW Dynamite.

Saturday Night Nitro will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

F1RST Wrestling, a professional wrestling company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, reached
a milestone Sunday, hosting the 20th edition of their marquee event WRESTLEPALOOZA,
emanating from the world-famous First Avenue Nightclub. During the event, F1RST Wrestling’s
Arik Cannon announced professional wrestling will return to Mall of America for the first time in
over 27 years.

“A friend of mine told me that it’s important to enjoy the moment, so if it’s OK with all of you…this
moment is for all of us,” said Arik Cannon before announcing F1RST Wrestling’s September 10
event at Mall of America.

A feature attraction for Mall of America’s year-long 30th birthday celebration, F1RST Wrestling
will present Saturday Night Nitro on Saturday, September 10. The event will feature professional
wrestling stars from across the world, including F1RST Wrestling mainstays fans have come to
love.

F1RST Wrestling will build a wrestling ring in the center of Huntington Bank Rotunda,
producing a showcase of the world’s top in-ring performers. Tickets for the all-ages event go on
sale Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m.
