Jeff Hardy is being suspended from All Elite Wrestling without pay.

In a new statement released today by AEW President and CEO Tony Khan, the company has announced that Jeff Hardy is being suspended without pay from the company following his DUI arrest on June 13. The company made it clear in the statement that they will assist Hardy in his treatment of his substance abuse issues. Hardy will be able to return to the promotion once he has completed treatment and as long as he maintains his sobriety.

We’ve learned more details around the Jeff Hardy arrest.

We’re told that following the signing and concert that Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy attended Sunday, Matt made sure his brother got to his hotel room. After that, Matt Hardy and his family flew back home, while Jeff remained in Florida. An allegedly intoxicated Jeff had stated to officers he had a scheduled doctor’s appointment for his “head” coming up for brain scans, but we didn’t get a comment back from AEW regarding that, and one AEW source indicated that from a legal perspective, it’s not likely that we’d hear more about that.

There was confusion regarding the time of arrest, as it was originally listed as 12:45, which many thought meant that it happened in the early morning hours. Hardy was booked into the Volusia County jail at 12:45 PM eastern, after being arrested at 9:54 AM

Regarding Jeff Hardy driving without a license, we’re told he maintained possession of a physical license and had used it to rent vehicles during his time with both WWE and AEW. We’re told there hadn’t been any word of that causing issues for his ability to rent cars outside of North Carolina.
