NEVER Openweight Title Changes Hands At NJPW Dominion
Gold comes to Bullet Club.
Karl Anderson captured the NEVER Openweight Championship at NJPW Dominion, defeating his former Bullet Club running mate Tama Tonga for the title.
The finish saw Doc Gallows try to get involved, but receive a Gun Stun from Tonga for his efforts. The distraction allowed Anderson to catch Tonga with a Gun Stun of his own to secure the victory.

This marks the first reign with the NEVER Openweight Championship for Karl Anderson. Tama Tonga won the title from EVIL at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku. He held the title for 42 days and never successfully defended the belt.
