Wardlow Eyes TNT Gold, Swerve Looks Out For Number 1, Toni Storm Saves Thunder Rosa | AEW Fight Size

Here is your post-AEW Dynamite fight size update for Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

– Tonight, Wardlow explained why he elected not to be involved in the World Title Eliminator Series. Wardlow stated that he wants to beat CM Punk outright for the World Championship and says that at the moment, he’s more concerned about winning the TNT Championship.

– During tonight’s show, it was confirmed that CM Punk underwent successful surgery on his “lower leg.” Learn more here.

– There was no sight or mention of Maxwell Jacob Friedman tonight.

– Jon Moxley advanced to the main event of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door by defeating Kyle O’Reilly.

– During the opening Casino Battle Royale tonight, Andrade returned to action. Also, Swerve Strickland proved that there are no allies when it comes to the World Championship as he eliminated Keith Lee and Darby Allin.

– Will Ospreay finally appeared on AEW television as he and members of the United Empire attacked Trent and FTR.

– PAC secured a victory over Buddy Matthews tonight. Now, he is one step closer to becoming the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion. Learn more about the formation of that championship at this link.

– Thunder Rosa was able to successfully defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Marina Shafir. After the match, Shafir attacked the champion from behind and Toni Storm ran in to make the save while also taking some time to hold the Women’s World Championship in her own hands before giving it back to Rosa.

– Tonight, Hangman Page officially laid out a challenge for Kazuchika Okada for Forbidden Door. Adam Cole, however, has other plans for Okada.
