CM Punk being forced to vacate his World Championship has completely forced changes to Forbidden Door. With a rushed plan to create a World Championship Eliminator Series, here’s everything you need to know before tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.
Jon Moxley Awaits Battle Royal Winner For A Shot At Glory
CM Punk unfortunately suffered a broken foot injury and needs to have surgery which will keep him away from the ring. He will not be vacating his World Championship, however. Instead, a battle royale will be held at the opening of the show tonight with Jon Moxley facing the winner in the main event of the show and the winner of that match, goes on to the Forbidden Door to face either Hiroshi Tanahashi Or Hirooki Goto
Hangman’s Back
Hangman Adam Page, the former World Champion, won’t be participating in any of the World Title Eliminator Series. Instead, he will be providing a preview for a Forbidden Door as he faces NJPW’s David Finlay. Hangman is undoubtedly looking to make an impact in his first match since losing the World Championship, but Finlay can also look to make a name for himself tonight.
Buddy Matthews and PAC go one-on-one
In a match between two former WWE Cruiserweight Champions, Buddy Matthews will take on PAC. stemming from the war between Death Triangle and the House of Black, both men will try to push each other to the Limit and take their career to new heights tonight.
With such a monkey wrench thrown in on the road to Forbidden Door and Blood & Guts also continuing to build, we are waiting to see who will punch their ticket to the Interim AEW Championship match and what else will happen on tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
