NXT North American Championship Changes Hands At NXT In Your House 2022
The A Champion is back!
At NXT In Your House, Cameron Grimes put the NXT North American Championship on the line against Carmelo Hayes. Grimes won the title from Hayes at Stand & Deliver in a Ladder Match, ending a 172-day reign that began in October.
In the two months that he has held the belt, Grimes has had one successful defense, defeating Hayes and Solo Sikoa in a Triple Threat at Spring Breakin’.
The belt would revert back to Carmelo at In Your House as he defeated Cameron Grimes to become a two-time North American Champion. Trick Williams provided assistance on the outside of the ring, allowing Hayes to take advantage and set up his finisher.

Hayes won’t have much time to celebrate, however, as Solo Sikoa is waiting in the wings as the number one contender for the title.
