UFC 210’s Fun Bets: Cormier, Rumble Johnson, Weidman, Mousasi, More
Since arriving in Buffalo Wednesday afternoon, I’ve enjoyed covering UFC 210 for a variety of reasons, but one of which is to get a closer look at the fighters competing on Saturday night. From body language to their demeanor around others, my spidey senses go off as to how they may perform in their bout. So without further adieu, here’s a few options for you to consider …
Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier (+100) is the underdog against a man he has already defeated in Anthony Johnson (-120). Removing any emotional bias from the equation, there’s immediate value on the champ right off the top.
DC has always shown a propensity for controlling his opponents with his incredible wrestling and either finishing them on the ground or securing a well earned to decision. If you think the champ will pull any of these options off, you can get him via T/KO (+416), submission (+240) or via decision (+760).
On the flip side, Rumble is paying as well, but if you buy into his power and believe he just needs to land one of his monstrous strikes, you can get him via T/KO at +121.
In the co-main event, former middleweight champion Chris Weidman (-110) and his opponent Gegard Mousasi (-110) found themselves as pick’em options at most books. While it’s definitely a very well matched bout, so many different theories heading into this scrap have many people wondering which way to go.
I for one believe this one will go the distance, so my options are either Weidman at +170 or Mousasi at +200. But a fight is a fight and anything can happen, so if a finish is something to consider, I’d lean towards Weidman via T/KO (+672) or Mousasi via sub (+765).
In looking at the rest of the card, there are a few options that could prove to be quite rewarding:
Patrick Cote def. Thiago Alves via decision (+191)
Will Brooks via T/KO (+315) over Charles Oliveira
Myles Jury via T/KO (+260) or submission (+275) vs Mike De La Torre
Kamaru Usman def. Sean Strickland inside the distance (+346)
Jan Blachowicz via T/KO over Patrick Cummins (+125)
