Dr. Britt Baker Defeats Maki Itoh, Advances To Semi-Finals Of Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

During the May 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker faced off against a mystery opponent in a quarterfinal match of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. The winner of the bout would face Toni Storm in the semi-finals after she advanced thanks to a victory over Jamie Hayter last week.
The “Joker” opponent of Baker’s turned out to be Maki Itoh, who made her return to AEW for the first time since March 2021. Baker would eventually win the match after applying her Lock Jaw submission. She was confronted by Toni Storm after the bell and had a stare-down teasing their matchup.
