Seth Rollins Shoots Down Booker T’s ‘False Narrative’ That He Had An ‘Easy Route’ To The Top
Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are set to clash for a third time at WWE Hell in a Cell, inside Hell in a Cell.
Rhodes is 2-0 against Rollins, holding victories at WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania Backlash.
Booker T appeared on WWE Raw Talk after WWE Raw and was asked who needs the win more at WWE Hell in a Cell.
“Of course, Seth Rollins needs this win more. Cody Rhodes is 2-0 heading into the rubber match. I must say, Cody Rhodes, he’s not one of those guys that had that easy route. He had to work for everything. Seth Rollins is a guy that made it to the top relatively easy. He had a lot of help. Cody had to break himself down and rebuild himself. That’s the Cody Rhodes we see today,” said Booker.
Booker is referencing Cody leaving WWE, working Independent shows, and being part of the AEW formation before returning to WWE. Meanwhile, Rollins was introduced as part of The Shield in the world of WWE and was a featured star from the beginning.
Rollins took to social media to shoot down the narrative, reminding fans that he was part of the Independent loops as Tyler Black before signing with WWE.
This narrative is false. I started wrestling at 18 years old in back rooms of bars, in pole barns, at UAW Halls, the occasional parking lot. Lost money. Broke bones. Drove countless hours alone just to build a name that got erased the second I walked in the WWE door. https://t.co/whmlH2nHNs
