New Reports On Who’s Going Where During “The Superstar Shakeup”

The Superstar Shakeup was dropped in our laps by Vince McMahon last Monday night on Raw, and many fans are concerned about where their favorites might end up.

Now there are reports coming out of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that "The Supe Shake™" is the means to get AJ Styles to Raw and The New Day to SmackDown. There had been talk for a while about a possible "trade" of Styles for Roman Reigns, but now it appears that Roman isn't going anywhere any more.

As seen in the video above, AJ Styles told Shane McMahon that he wants to stay on SmackDown Live, that it is "the house that AJ Styles built," and he'd be damned if someone else was going to come in and run the show without him on Tuesday nights. Some saw this, coupled with the respectful handshake he offered Shane, as a possible babyface turn. Unfortunately for fans of the blue brand, it appears that they can't always get what they want, and as soon as AJ becomes a guy they can really root for, he's (likely) being moved to Monday nights.

As far as The New Day goes, the SmackDown tag division is in sore need of a shot in the arm, and with The Revival and The (un)Broken Hardys added to the Raw tag ranks, it makes sense to move The New Day to the blue brand. Whether or not we get a trade involving a SmackDown team moving to Raw remains to be seen.

The thought is that if AJ moves to Raw, a top superstar would have to switch from Red to Blue, but there's no word yet on who that might be. There's some thought that since SmackDown did get the biggest NXT call-up, Shinsuke Nakamura, that they might need direct compensation in an AJ trade.

Finally, as far as the Women's Divisions are concerned, the most likely names to trade brands are Charlotte and Alexa Bliss. The former champions on their respective shows have had recent title losses and a change of scenery might be in order.
