Class Action Complaint Filed Against AEW For Violating Americans With Disabilities Act On ShopAEW.com

A lawsuit has been filed against All Elite Wrestling.

A lawsuit has been filed against AEW.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics shared earlier today that a plaintiff by the name of Luigi Abreu is filing a lawsuit against All Elite Wrestling LLC for allegedly violating the Americans With Disabilities Act. The plaintiff claims that ShopAEW.com, which is the company’s merchandise site, is not accessible to people with visual impairments.

Among the list of complaints, Abreu lists that the website’s narrating feature cannot read product names, links, or CAPTCHA’s correctly. The ADA act says that a company’s website must accommodate the use of screen readers.

According to the full documentation of the lawsuit, which can be read by clicking here, Abreu is demanding a trial by jury for the complaint.

Abreu has sued multiple companies in the past for this issue.

A similar lawsuit was filed against WWE back in 2020. That case was settled by WWE quickly, which you can read more about by clicking here.

AEW has yet to comment on the matter, but Fightful will update fans when they do.
