Ciryl Gane vs. Tai Tuivasa Slated For September
Former interim UFC heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane, and Tai Tuivasa have verbally agreed to a matchup at a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on September 3.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the matchup, while also revealing that the UFC is targeting Paris, France as the location of the event, marking the Octagon’s first trip to the country. Although the promotion has yet to officially announce anything regarding the event or booking themselves. Gane is coming off of the first defeat of his professional career against UFC heavyweight champ, Francis Ngannou, via a unanimous decision back at UFC 270. Tuivasa meanwhile is riding a five-fight winning streak currently and will try to build on a second-round KO victory over former two-time UFC title challenger, Derrick Lewis, at UFC 271.
