New IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Crowned At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku
El Desperado has been dethroned.
At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku, Taiji Ishimori regained the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship by defeated El Desperado, bringing more gold to the Bullet Club.
The finish saw Deserado hit pinche loco but as he went for a second one, Ishimori reversed and caught Desperado in the bone lock, forcing him to submit.

This marks the third reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion for Ishimori. He is also a former three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. El Desperado won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Power Struggle 2021. His reign lasted 176 days and included three successful title defenses.
