Rules Set For KOPW 2022 Trophy Bout On 4/25 At NJPW Golden Fight Series

Shingo Takagi and Taichi are in for a long night on April 25.

Shingo and Taichi are set to clash on Night 7 of the NJPW Golden Fight Series with the 2022 KOPW Provisional Trophy on the line. As is custom, both wrestlers picked their preferred stipulations for the upcoming match

Taichi chose a “30-Count Match” where multiple falls occur and the winner is the first to reach the combined count of 30. Shingo chose a “Takagi Style Three Falls Match.” In this match, the first to three falls is the winner, but rather than being best three out of five, a competitor must get first a one count, then a two count, and then three.

The fans have voted and NJPW has confirmed the trophy will be contested in a 30-Count Match on April 25.

From NJPW:

After the closest vote in KOPW history, the stipulations have been determined for April 25 and the first KOPW 2022 defence for Taichi opposite Shingo Takagi.
