Jon Moxley Calls Out Hiroshi Tanahashi, Challenges Him To A Match At NJPW Capital Collision

Jon Moxley is still searching for Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Moxley stood tall in the main event of NJPW Windy City Riot, picking up a victory over Will Ospreay. After the bout, a bloody Moxley got on the mic and said that he respected Ospreay because he showed up to fight and was willing to accept his challenge, unlike some legends of New Japan.

He then named Hiroshi Tanahashi by name, challenging him to a match at NJPW Capitol Collision on May 14.

A match between Moxley and Tanahashi has been teased throughout the years, with Moxley saying he’s been waiting three years to finally face Tanahashi, but has never come to fruition.

NJPW has not officially announced Tanahashi vs. Moxley for NJPW Capital Collision.

Another challenge was made, and accepted, during Windy City Riot with Eddie Kingston challenging Tomohiro Ishii. They will clash at NJPW Capital Collision. You can learn more about the challenge by clicking here.
