Sean Ross SappDown Live (4/11): PODCAST SUPERSTAR SHAKEUP NOTES!
Opening Segment
- Kevin Owens is on Smackdown! Major upgrade, in my opinion. Give me Owens over a Bray Wyatt any day. He speaks in French and hates America.
- Baron Corbin comes out. He talks. He says things.
- Sami Zayn is on Smackdown! Hilarious reaction from KO.
- AJ Styles joins the FRAY.
- Daniel Bryan specifies that Owens is still facing Chris Jericho, and the winner at Payback comes to SD Live.
Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan via DQ
- Ahhhh okay. We needed this match nobody is gonna give a shit about.
- Erick Rowan has his singles music back.
- Rowan needs Harper badly. They both need each other, honestly.
- This is a bridge gapper. It's short, but then Wyatt shows up on the screen.
- Rowan attacks Orton with stairs, then lays him out in the ring.
WWE Tag Team Championships
Usos (c) defeated American Alpha
- Smackdown needs a couple of teams badly. It's shallow, and they lost Heath Slater & Rhyno and The Vaudevillians.
- Never watch the first 5 minutes of a WWE tag match
- Uso with a nice superkick on a hanging armbar.
- Steinerizer!
- The suicide dive to suplex spot was really cool.
- Awesome finish to this match, too. Usos are so good together as heels.
- Shining Stars show up and attack AA after the match.
- LOL.
Mojo Rawley defeated Hardbody Mahal
- Gronk is ringside.
- Mojo Rawley vs. Jinder Mahal is like a call back to 2005 Smackdown.
- Gronk throws a beer in Mahal's face and then Mojo absolutely murders Mahal.
State of Smackdown Women's Division
- Shane McMahon calls SD Live the land of opportunity.
- This is where we find out if La Luchadora is still on the roster.
- Ellsworth cuts a funny promo.
- Shane McMahon teases Charlotte, but brings out Tamina. Then Charlotte. Neat.
Other stuffs
- Sin Cara and Rusev are on SD. Great move.
- Lana is debuting soon I guess.
- New Day to Smackdown. That's a big one!
Tye Dillinger defeated Aiden English
- This is short, and a bit of a breath of fresh air.
- English has his singing gimmick.
- Dillinger wins quickly. Fun little match
Ziggler and Nakamura
- Ziggler comes out and yells about staying on Smackdown.
- He's interrupted by Nakamura.
- Ziggler tries to kick him, but Nakamura pushes him down.
- The facial expressions from both sides is great.
Number One Contender's match
AJ Styles defeated Sami Zayn & Baron Corbin
- WWE does multi man matches right. This is no exception.
- Sami Zayn's dives always make sense. I appreciate that.
- Corbin kills AJ with a nice clothesline
- You notice how much better commentary has been with JBL going out of his way to not be an insufferable douche? There's a reason.
- This match absolutely rules.
- Styles wins.
- Smackdown wins.
- We win!
