Alexander Gustafsson Picking DC At UFC 210

Alexander Gustafsson has fought both UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, suffering defeats to both men.

However, when it comes to making a pick for their clash at UFC 210, the Swedish star thinks the champion will keep the gold.

“If one of those hands lands on ‘DC,’ it’s going to be a tough night,” Gustafsson told MMA Junkie. “But at the same time, with Anthony, you’ve seen him dominate and you’ve seen him lose and get finished. What I know with ‘DC’ is he’s a tough guy. It doesn’t matter what you throw at him, what you give him in the fight, he just keeps coming forward. ‘DC’ will keep his belt that night, but it’s a hard fight to predict.”

Gustafsson first fought Cormier at UFC 192 and he lost a close decision to the champion, it was also the first title defense from Cormier.

The light heavyweight contender then fought Anthony Johnson at UFC On Fox 14 in his home country of Sweden, where Gustafsson got knocked out in the first round.

UFC 210 takes place on Saturday, April 8 from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York with Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
