Taz: Baron Corbin Would Put McGregor “In A Hospital”
Former ECW champion and longtime wrestling commentator Taz weighed in on what would happen if WWE wrestler Baron Corbin and UFC champion Conor McGregor were in a fight… and he thinks it would go quite poorly for the Irishman.
"Conor McGregor would be put in a hospital," Taz told TMZ Sports recently in a video interview. "Baron Corbin's a bad man. He's also younger, more aggressive, and he's about, you know, five times the size along with some speed and quickness … dude's like 6-6, 6-7, he's a big man and he's put together."
McGregor, the first fighter to win titles in two different UFC weight classes simultaneously, has made disparaging remarks about pro wrestling and professional wrestlers on several occasions in the past, earning the ire of several current and former wrestlers, including some of the top names currently signed to WWE. Corbin weighed in during a radio interview, telling 105.3 FM in Dallas regarding the potential of a boxing match between McGregor and Floyd Mayweather that Mayweather would "dominate" McGregor.
"I think he's called out a few WWE Superstars, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at Conor McGregor," said Corbin "He's like 165 pounds, 185 pounds soaking wet. So, I would like to slam him on his head a few times."
Taz reiterated his stance on a Corbin-McGregor fight was "no disrepect to McGregor. He's a badass MMA guy, I know that. McGregor is a tremendous marketer, promoter, just like Mayweather. That's why they're millionaires. McGrefgor needs to be in WWE, the problem is, he's really a small guy."
Corbin has his own impressive athletic background, playing for two NFL teams and also winning multiple Golden Gloves boxing tournaments.
